Body Chains

I've been admiring these cool pieces of jewelry for a while now - and I have yet to see one that I like in real life! I see them in online stores and some lookbooks, but so far no luck seeing them and trying one in person.

They may not be for everyone but I think it's the perfect statement piece to add on a simple blouse or shirt to just take it to a whole new level.

My favourite body chains in the above pictures are by the company Luv AJ (and shopbop.com carries the line) and they're not cheap - around $300 a piece - so you'd really have to try them on and feel them in person before deciding it it's a worthwhile investment.

The Erin Wasson x RVCA line (which I LOVE) has some body chains as well at a slightly lower price point and I've also seen some on Etsy. I just think they're so cool! I really want to get one soon.

What are your thoughts on them? Are they cool or just a bit too weird for your liking?

  1. Body chains are too weird for me. I can't imagine wearing them, at least not where I live.

  5. I don't think it's weird at all! i've been dying for one ever since i saw SJP wear it in the second S&TC movie. When I saw the price on the low luv chain by erin wasson it hurt because it looked beautiful over clothing and even underneath it. i'm still trying to find an affordable one!

  8. I do like these! Although for that price, I'm not sure I would ever buy it. I would have to try it on and feel perfect about it.

  9. I love body chains! I agree, I think they can really add that extra little something to an otherwise plain outfit. I actually have an Erin wasson body chain, but I've only worn it out once or twice. they definitely get stares, so just be aware of that! I mostly just prance around the house in them :p i don't actually prance, but you know:)

  10. I think they look really cool, very neat way to turn a simple item into something a bit h-core.

You could probably make your own though, if you could the chain.
