Used up so far... Part VIII (and today's eye makeup)

This whole "using things up" business is coming along slowly but surely, I still have 2 foundations and a bunch of random makeup items (bronzer, powder, lipgloss) to work through before I can start buying some things from my wish list.
It's a pain because I'm a big fan of instant gratification and I want to start buying new things NOW but I need to control myself otherwise I will need my own "Hoarders" special.

Here's what I used up:

1. Lush Tea Tree Water Toner

One of my favourite skincare items! I've been using this toner for over a year now. Very light and refreshing, I love that it comes in a spray bottle so you can spray it all over your face for some therapeutic Tea Tree action or you can spray it on a cotton pad and swipe it across the face to give your skin a good clean! I'd definitely repurchase this, but since I'm a curious creature, I am keen on maybe trying a different toner just to keep things interesting. Any suggestions?

2. Caudalie Beauty Elixir Facial Spray

I had high hopes for this little thing but it did nothing. It was expensive, I didn't like the smell, and it literally did nothing. Didn't make my skin look "glowing", and it was a bit sticky. Give me Fix+ by MAC over this any day.

3. Dior Addict Lip Glow

I love this! My go-to lip product, especially in the summer. It reacts with your body temperature to turn into a beautiful pink colour - similar to Smashbox O-Glow. Now, it turns a different shade of pink on other people (some say it turns neon pink on them) but on me it turns a pretty rosy pink shade. It is moisturizing, has a bit of a glossy finish, colour lasts on the lips and it has SPF. Will definitely repurchase this once summer comes around :)

Now, since it's still March, here's my eyeshadow look for today:
MAC Constructivist Paint Pot (base)
MAC Naked Lunch eyeshadow (eyelid)
MAC Espresso eyeshadow (crease & outer V)
MAC Feline eyeliner
Eyeko Big Eyes mascara

YSL Teint Resist (#5) & Chanel Mat Lumiere (#50) foundations mixed
NARS Laguna bronzer
NARS Madly blush

Chanel Rouge Coco #20 Rose Comete
Revlon Peach Petal lipgloss

That's it for me today, have a great weekend, everyone!

  1. I hate my lip glow :( I cannot wait to use it all:p

  2. So pretty, love that lip color on you! I use my Kibio 3 in 1 as both a cleanser & toner, Shoppers carries the line at their beauty bars.

  3. I love the lush tee tree toner. I've gone through so many bottles already!

  4. I've been contemplating on getting the Dior lip glow for about a year now. I really what to but still can't justify paying $28 for a lipbalm. Any hints on how I can do that? =)

  5. That dior lip glow turned a hot red on me. It was horrible. Glad it works for you though. It's hilarous how it's different on so many people.

  6. Lovely look, as always. Rose Comete looks so good on you- it's too cool toned to work on my skin unfortunately.

  7. GREAT blog!

  10. hey i love your blog and youtube channel you are so down to earth and honest about products i just started a blog and am thinking of starting making videos i was just wondering if you had any tips on how to get started and get the word out about new blogs

  11. oh i definitely want to try the lush toner! awesome to have it in a spray bottle!

i've been using exuviance's moisture balance toner, and i love it!

    following you :)

  12. The Liz Earle toner is absolutely beautiful. It smells divine and I credit it with making me actually stick to a skin care regime. I think you can get it in a spray too. The Lip Glow is fuscia on me!

  13. I've heard such good things about Lush's Tea Tree Toner. I've been dying to try it but I'm waiting to finish the one I'm using right now. Haha. Gorgeous makeup as always! <3

  14. I have the same problem that I buy products and never seem to finish them when I buy something else that catches my eye, so I end up hoarding loads of half-empty bottles. Great blog (and you're so pretty!).

  15. In reference to #1-
The LUSH Tea Tree Toner is amazing. I use it also- but if you are looking for something new to try, it can depend on two things: you skin and the season.
Tea Tree toner is ideal for summer time because it helps control excess oil, but in the winter or if your skin is feeling a bit dry, LUSH has 2 other toners that help restore dry or sensitive skin! Both are excellent!

ALSO, another toner I have added to my collection and LOVE is Thayers Natural (no alcohol) witch hazel!! I picked mine up at whole foods but I'm sure they are other places, especially natural/organic stores. I really love it!

  16. The lips balm is looking awesome. Thanks for sharing this post! Brenda
