Attack of the mini skincare items!

In my latest video I did a lot of complaining about my skin's oily overdrive.
It was clear that I needed a change in some of my skincare steps since winter is now over and my skin no longer needs a daily dose of my Cetaphil Moisturizing lotion.

So as I was walking through Sephora, the REN anti-blemish 3 piece kit caught my eye.

It was $24 and it contains a small clay-based cleanser, a daytime fluid that replenishes the skin's moisture (contains blemish-fighting ingredients and leaves the skin smooth and matte), and a light night-time serum. What drew me towards the brand is that it is completely natural - free of parabens, sulfates, fragrances and animal ingredients. I have been using the products for the past three days and so far so good. The cleanser is OK but I still prefer my Cetaphil. The daytime fluid works great under makeup so far but it smells bad.

Anyway I'm going to keep on trying and give a final verdict on these after I use them up on my "Used Up Products" series. I still haven't broken out in 2 months now and the longer I can keep it up using preventative blemish care products, the better!

I'm also eyeing the Glycolactic Peel Mask by REN...

How happy are you with your current skincare routine?

  1. For some reason I have been breaking out crazily recently and I just can't figure out why =( Right now I am just desperate to find a regime that can help me...!!!

  2. I have oily skin as well and it can be such a curse sometimes! I've been using Clinique's three step system in level 3 for about 3 months now and I LOVE it. It really keeps my oils under control without drying my skin out.

  3. My skincare regime has actually been working out pretty well. I've been using the entire effaclar line thanks to you. I also love B kamins' earth masque. I've been eyeing the glycolic peel too but recently had a bad experience with potent products so i'm a bit reluctant.

  4. I've been pretty happy with my current skincare routine. I've been using Ole Henriksen products for about 8 months now and am totally in love with the whole line. My favourites would have to be the 3 Little Wonders Set and the On The Go Cleanser. I haven't broken out for the last 6 months which I think is mostly due to these products :)

  5. You should try Vichy Normaderm moisturizer. It works amazingly for oily skin!!
