In and Out

Happy August!!
Here's what's been up and down on my mind as of late:

IN

- shellac! I can't stop staring at my nails. They survived a weekend of breaking rolls of coins at work. This never happened.

- wearing minimal face makeup. I never thought I'd be a "tinted moisturizer" girl or a "just a bit of concealer" girl but I have been this summer and that makes me happy. Still totally into foundation but it's nice not having to wear it when it's a million degrees out in the summer time.

- anticipating Chanel Fall 2011 makeup to arrive at my counter... I look at the promo photos and I can't waiiiit to see that shiz in person. I don't know if it's just my counter or most counters in Canada but I haven't seen ANY of the fall stuff yet (didn't see it in Europe either) so I'm thinking it just got distributed in the USA sooner than in the rest of the world.

- day off tomorrow and wednesday, meaning I can finally catch up on videos that I need to record!

- my new iPhone 4

- still obsessed with Chanel Rouge Coco Shines

- Liz Earle cleanse and polish... whyyy must this only be available online (for us people that aren't in the UK) and with crazy shipping fees? :'( will post a review soon

OUT

- Apple OS X Lion... it may look pretty but it makes my computer freeze a lot more often and it made my recording software not recognize my webcam... dun dun dun... couldn't film today. I have since fixed it after a couple hours of panic but it was frustrating nonetheless

- the Bachelor/Bachelorette. YAWN.

- Sloane and E on Entourage. I'm so angry that the wedding is off. I was rooting for them, dammit.

- eating crap. I need to stock up on some of my favourite healthy foods because I ate astronomical amounts of pizza, pasta and every type of pork meat imaginable on my trip. Need to resume my workouts as well, but I'm lazy :(

Hope your week is off to a great start!! xox

  14. @ Dani yep, they charge $17 for shipping to Canada... depressing.

@ Bethany the CND shade I have on is called "clearly pink" and she used 2 coats :) she told me about the OPI stuff too, excited to see how they compare

@ ambernicole I finally see what all the rage is about and I'm impressed!! I couldn't bare to never use my own nail polish again though, sometimes it's fun to change the shade every 2 or 3 days haha

@ emma lucky!!! I am hoping it gets put out at my counter soon!

@ delaneyjane the two I own and use all the time are Boy and Evasion.. would love to get a nice pink or cherry red shade next :) what are your faces?

@ let them eat cake .. thank you :) I've never had gel nails, I've only ever had acrylics years ago but I think the difference is that the shellac doesn't damage your nail at all... they don't use the drilling machine to file any of your real nail down before applying the product! xx

  15. @ theyellowyolk I've never tried the Laura Mercier but I *think* it has more coverage than the Dior... I'm young to try it eventually though so keep an eye for it :)

@ Gypsy it's a really amazing product, even better because it's all natural and free of sulfates & parabens

    @ beyondthebolt thank you :))

@ Kathrine thank you!! I will definitely keep it in mind, how much is it in the shops in England?

  18. Sandra I think you would LOVE Aventure. It is a beautiful medium toned pink. I'm very fair and I love Monte Carlo as a cherry red, I didn't care for Rebelle as it was too harsh on me, but with your tan you might like it.

  24. Prices vary but I order from the UK site where a 100ml cleanser is £13.25 and the 200ml is £21.95. They also do lots of offers for kits plus free mini versions and things like that.

Seriously, if you ever want anything just get in touch and I'll help. Shipping charges are my enemy!

  25. When your Chanel counter does finally stock the fall 2011 collection. Don't buy the pretty cream eyeshadows. They slip off the eyes. Even with the help of urban decay primer potion, it will just turn into an oily, creasy mess.

  26. The color is just too pretty ! I'm thinking of buying it.
