Chanel Safari Eyeshadow

Black clothes and silvery taupe eyeshadows - I can never get enough of either.

As I was taking a break from studying interest rates and monetary expansion policies, I treated myself with a new eyeshadow... *drum roll please* Chanel Single Eyeshadow in #45 Safari

It's part of their permanent eyeshadow collection and it's a breathtaking smooth silvery taupe. It seemed to be the perfect blend of two of my other favourite eyeshadows, Benefit's Where There's Smoke and Style Snob by MAC (which was sadly Limited Edition).

Chanel Safari (top), MAC Style Snob (left), Benefit Where There's Smoke (right)
from left to right - Benefit, MAC, Chanel

Super soft consistency and not too shimmery, just the right amount. Here it is swatched (on top) more heavily compared to some other favourites of mine:

top to bottom: Chanel Safari, MAC Style Snob, Benefit Where There's Smoke, MAC Satin Taupe
on the right: Le Metier De Beaute Corinthian

I'm so excited to wear this!

  14. I'm new to your blog but that is such a Sandra shade! Btw are you planning on purchasing any of the illusion d'ombre cream eyeshadows from Chanel? I have not had a chance to have a look at them yet but I plan on taking a trip down to a counter after a few of my exams next week xx

  15. @misscherrychocolate yes I do have one of the illusion d'ombres and it's ok, nice shade but they crease and fade on me even with a primer :(
