Here's the makeup I wore today, featuring some items I've had on heavy rotation as of late:
Cheesy poses aside, I wore Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua foundation in the shade B20. I love this stuff. I initially thought it was breaking me out but it seems that it was a false alarm... it's so easy to work with and the finish is semi-matte and very natural. I strongly suggest asking for a sample if you're interested. I asked for samples of this on two separate occasions since the first time it broke me out really badly (or so it seemed) and I finally decided to purchase it. I can do a more in depth review of it if you are interested!
I put links to some of the items in case you were interested in checking them out!
Under the eyes: Armani Master Corrector shade #1, Dior Nude Concealer shade #2, Benefit Powderflage
Cheeks: Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer, NARS Madly blush
I set everything with MAC Careblend powder - not sure how I feel about it yet so I'll keep you updated.
Lips: Dior Addict lipstick in Singuliere
Eyes: Burberry Pale Barley eyeshadow all over the lid (<3), Bobbi Brown Hot Stone in the outer corner
17 Liquid Liner and Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara (the regular version, also leaves me rather unimpressed).
I am SO in love with Pale Barley, it's so easy to work with and looks amazing even without a primer. I didn't wear a primer today, I am writing this post up a good 6 hours since applying my makeup and the eyeshadow is still kicking. Yay.
I hope the week is off to a great start for you!

I would love a more in depth review of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. It's a foundation I've been interested in for a while, but it's so darn expensive! I'd love to know your thoughts before I spend such a large chunk of change on it.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm super impressed at how long that eye shadow lasted without primer. I'll have to check it out!
You look gorgeous in this picture!
ReplyDeleteFresh faced and glowing :)
I'm really intrigued by Vitalumiere but I'm not sure I can justify the price!

Beautiful Look <3! I would love to read your opinion about the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation!
ReplyDeleteWow, Pale Barley sounds like a fantastic eyeshadow. Beautiful look. I look forward to your review of the Dior concealer.
ReplyDeleteYou look stunning! I really want to try the vitalumiere but i am afraid my skin isn't good enough :(
ReplyDeleteyes please for the foundation review! I've only heard really good things about it but I'm afraid the coverage might not be enough! More or less than Nars Sheer Glow/MUFE HD?
ReplyDeleteYou look absolutely stunning in this post! I love the neutral eye and gorgeous skin!

ReplyDeleteI am so intrigued with the Burberry eye-shadows, I've been keeping an eye on Rosewood and Porcelain and intend to buy a few in one go one day. Going to pick up that Dior lippy tonight ;)

Great look! I have been thinking about trying chanel vitalumiere but not sure it would work on my dry skin. I need that burberry eyeshadow!
ReplyDeleteVitalumiere Aqua looks lovely on your skin. I love Pale Barley too.
ReplyDeleteawesome post :)

I've had my eye on Pale Barley for awhile...think you just sealed the deal for me!!
ReplyDeleteI went to Holts over the weekend to slobber over Pale Barley, and was so turned off by the Salesperson (she ruined my face... worst makeup artist ever). Maybe it was just the way she applied it, but it looked so chalky and had so much fall out! It looks absolutely GORG on you though! Reminds me of one of the shades in my Chanel Prelude quad.
ReplyDeleteGreat eyeshadow! I love the lipstick too. Dior has great colors!
ReplyDeletebeautiful look! :)

I've been totally into neutrals too lately! It's just so easy to look lovely with them! Great look, you're looking so luminous! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the eyeshadow barley! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteDo you prefer Dior singuliere Or Dior lip glow color reviver balm?
ReplyDeletei like them both - they're not the same colour on me and the lip balm is more hydrating. singuliere is a brighter pink lipstick and not as moisturizing
Deleteyour skin looks amazing. the chanel VA seems to work well with you. i had a sample and loved the initial finish but oil control is terrible on me even though im not majorly oily. i need pale barley, it looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteI love pale barley; Now I'm thinking about getting rosewood. Looks like a stunning taupe. I got E. L silver leaf by the way. Thanks for shipping it so quickly.
ReplyDeleteVitalumiere broke me out pretty badly, which is very strange because I never break out (ever). Its too bad, I loved it. Looking forward to trying the new Estee Lauder one that's a similar formulation
ReplyDeleteAny recommendations on a good setting powder? I noticed sometimes you use one and sometimes you do not use one. What is your favorite at the moment?
ReplyDeleteI use the Chanel Loose powder and it's great!
DeleteI've been using Vitalumiere Aqua for the past few weeks & although I love the finish when I first apply it, it doesn't last that well on my oilier skin :/ I was wondering if you have the same issue with it?
ReplyDeleteAlso, your eyeshadow looks beautiful! I'm definitely going to look for Pale Barley next time I am at Nordies thanks to you!

HI Louise! although I'm oily too, I don't really have a problem with Vitalumiere Aqua lasting on the skin. I use Chanel Loose powder to set it and while my oil does end up showing through after a few hours, I just blot with my Boscia blotting sheets and everything looks decent throughout the day
