High-Low Obsession

I fell in love with a dress a couple of weeks ago while I was perusing a local boutique.

I've worn it so much since I got it that it warrants its own post (and fan club, but I'm still working on that!)

It will eventually be featured in an Outfit Of The Day post, I've been too rushed and busy lately to think of photographing things but I am working on changing that as well :)

The dress is by Ella Moss, and it's named the "Girls' Best Friend Hi Lo Maxi Dress". It rocks my world. I got it in black because that's the only option the store sold. I was hesitant at first given the price, I mean it's just a plain ol' jersey dress isn't it?

But the cut, the fit, the texture of the fabric are just to die for. I've worn it during the day, during the night, at work, to hair appointments, etc. It's my little versatile summer piece that I've been waiting for. Can be accessorized with interesting belts and jewelry for a multitude of looks. It also comes in a chevron-ish print for those who are more adventurous than I am (here).

I love the fact that the front hits above the knee so it's a bit flirty and sexy. I have the size M so the back is quite long and hits the ground if I'm not wearing heels (I am 5'6). 

Ella Moss is a hit/miss brand for me since a lot of their super girly casual pieces aren't exactly my style but the dresses are almost always on point. I have two other Ella Moss dresses from over the years and they are still some of my go-to pieces. The quality is fantastic, the cuts are flattering and it's made in the USA :)

This was a little splurge that I definitely don't regret!
