Need. More. Peplum.

I'm dying for some peplum in my wardrobe and it has to happen soon. I am late on the bandwagon but this is such a beautiful, flattering and feminine structured silhouette. Here are some of my favourites from the interweb, prices both low and high... (I know that Zara and H&M have some available as well but Zara is pretty much non existent where I live and my local H&M has the most questionable selection known to man).

Y'all know I like my clothes plain :)

Do you have any peplum tops in your wardrobe? Do you get a lot of wear out of them? Is it something worth investing it or just a fad? I personally thing it's quite flattering and thus will be a timeless piece for any woman's wardrobe.

  1. I lovee peplum tops! But in the UK I find that I can't wear them often because of our non existent summer, as I prefer to wear them alone without any cover ups to fully show off the silhouette. But other than that I think that they are really classic pieces that can be dressed up or down! :)

  2. I love a peplum! I've bought about six various styles since the start of the season and have never worn one without several compliments. They're perfect for a slim lady like you!

  6. I'm not sure how I feel about the style. I know that they would most likely flatter my body shape (by giving me the illusion of hips) but I doubt I would ever buy anything like that. I'm much too simple. I don't usually buy into the fads.

  7. AH I was just thinking this! My mom logged onto our computer at home and asked why their were 30 new favorites added..all peplums. Topshop has some really pretty ones, too! Shipping to North America is expensive though...womp womp. No Zara around my town either. Hope you get your hands on some soon! xx

I keep looking at peplums and thinking oooo that will cover my tum so I can wear pencil skirts and not be worried but I never seem to get to the point of buying one! have you seen the removable peplums which you can add to other non peplum outfits...I havent decided whether this is madness or genius yet!

  11. I gotta say - the top picture is the first and only time (so far) I've considered a peplum shape to be flattering. Overall - not convinced, but maybe they'll grow on me. :) xo

  12. Hi Sandra. I was looking at the top from ASOS and realized that I follow the model's blog. Thought you might want to check it out. She does posts on more fashion then makeup though. Hope you enjoy!
