Back on the taupe and brown eyeshadow train...

So that may be the dullest blog post title of all time but I'm hoping that you'll forgive me. Let's shift the focus on one of my favourite types of eyeshadow looks instead - taupe, brown, and easy.

I was feeling nostalgic and took out a couple of old favourite eye products - MAC Constructivist Paint Pot - and applied it all over the eyelids with my finger. I then took Bobbi Brown Hot Stone eyeshadow, which is a lovely dark matte cool toned brown and used it to line my eyes and to smoke out the lash line. I used it in the outer corner as well.

I then took a new addition to my makeup collection - Urban Decay Tease eyeshadow (which looks similar to Hot Stone in the photo but is a lot lighter, with a hint more purple and a satin finish) and applied it all over the lid with a fluffy crease brush for a light wash of colour on top of the paint pot.
Finished off with a bit of Burberry Almond eyeshadow (using the same crease brush) in the crease for a hint of warmth.

Here's the rest of my face makeup along with a full list of products used:

Hourglass Film Noir mascara (link)

Face:
Chantecaille Just Skin tinted moisturizer (got a sample of this in the shade Bliss and it's really nice) (link)
Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer in SC-4 (link)
Benefit Hervana Blush (link)

Lips:
YSL Rouge Volupte #1(link)
YSL Gloss Pur #7 (link)

Simple eyeshadow, using 2 brushes, and it stayed put all day! It's a combination that happened by accident but one that I'll definitely be repeating.

Hope your week is off to a great start. x
