Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow Look (and Giveaway)

The holiday season just wouldn't seem right without a sparkly, metallic high-shine eyeshadow in tow.
Silvers, golds, copper tones and bronze... I love it all.

In today's post I am sporting Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow in the shade Night Sky.

Night Sky is a beautiful shimmery dark grey eyeshadow. There are small particles of silver glitter throughout. You can build the eyeshadow up really dark or use it on top of a black base for a more intense look (would be perfect for a New Year's Eve party!).

In the demo I opted for a more subtle approach by layering it on top of a soft matte brown base. The pigmentation was great when applied with fingers and a sponge tip applicator. A flat moistened synthetic brush can also help pack on the pigment as needed. Now since this colour is so dark and rich in glitter, I recommend doing your eyeshadow before any under-eye concealing just so you can easily clean up any fall-out.

The Revlon PhotoReady concealer in Light is a great match for my under-eye area, is easy to blend with fingers and provides good coverage. I've mentioned it in some of my favourites videos on my channel over the past few months :)

As for the lip - like with any sort of bold eyeshadow look I liked to tone it down and sport a paler lip. Revlon Super Lustrous lipgloss in Peach Petal is one of my favourite shades and one that I have owned for quite a while. It's a must for any nude lipgloss lover!

Now for the best part - the GIVEAWAY.

I will be giving away 10 of the Revlon Diamond Lust eyeshadows! As always, please comment below with your e-mail addresses or twitter usernames to enter the contest. I will pick the winners in 2 weeks and contact you for your shipping information.

  1. I really like a palette I got free with Boots 17 products. It is called 'the smokey eye'. It comes with a base, then a green/gold glittery shadow. It looks so good and held out for a long time.

I'd love to try some Revlon though.

  2. That color looks great! I was actually just checking out the Revlon Diamond Lust eyeshadows yesterday. I think gold and burgundy are a great pair but anytime a reddish color has actually been on my eyes, I end up looking really sickly! Happy Friday! :)

  7. It looks so pretty & easy to apply. I've always just used a black smoky eye which I'm finding a bit tiring for the holidays. Sparkly is something I'd love to try.

  13. I'm more of a neutral colours girl... Reasons I love my UD Naked palettes. For holiday parties I like to go with subtle golds and dark browns... Plus the golds and browns make my blue eyes pop more.

  14. Its funny, during the holidays I tend to wear less makeup because I'm either writing exams or spending time with family (and for some reason I feel inappropriate wearing sparkly dramatic makeup around them.

  20. I've got this great RMK glitter eyeshadow from their Fall collection last year, dusty bright eyes, it was, I think. Anyhow, it has a great silver glitter eyeshadow, which looks amazing on top of a black/ gray smokey eye.
I also really like Chanel illusion d'ombre in epatant for a super-quick sexy look.

  46. Getting a bank advance for the sake of your business that reports to the business credit organizations is precious to build business credit and finding bigger and less costly financing later on. It might appear like an inconceivable errand since banks have tight loaning criteria contrasted with other financing sources, yet there is a little trap to getting an advance from a bank. check cashing
