Today's Makeup

I wore this look in one of my recent videos on YouTube and got a few requests to re-create it so what better than a "Get Ready With Me" type post? :)
It's a simple monochromatic look on the eyes - brown eyeshadow and brown liner and a vibrant lip that just begs for spring.
I've worn it several times over the past couple of weeks, albeit changing up the lip or blush, and I can't get enough.

As always, the names of all products used will be listed underneath, along with links where you can find the products!

  3. Always enjoy watching your makeup videos! Muse Opaque Rouge is such a lovely shade, slightly pinker than the regular lipstick version of Muse (which I have, and is also lovely). Looks great on you! And love the song you chose- have really been enjoying the Atoms for Peace album so far :)

    1. I'm liking the album too, Jen! I think I will have to try out the lipstick version of Muse for something a bit less "in your face". the formula of their lipsticks is so awesome, isn't it?

  4. How are you liking the Nars setting powder? I was sure I would buy it in Sephora the other day, but the swatch of it looked scary!! Like crystal highlighter or something. And the texture was slightly gritty.. Love the video!!

    1. on first swatch (especially with your finger) it does look scary. and the texture is weird. but trust me, with a brush that's slightly more abrasive (not anything super super soft) it's an AWESOME setting powder. I might make a post or video just about it since I've been getting so many questions. i like the fact that it's so natural, helps diffuse pores and has good oil control! it's a winner.

    1. don't be worried! i wash it like i wash all my other brushes - with a gentle antibacterial soap about once a week/once every two weeks. if i need to spot clean it i use the mac brush cleanser and some tissue :) it held up well so far

  15. Ah love your get ready with me type videos on here. Nice job on the editing too, that was a fun touch. Does that lip color last well on you? I've heard the armani ones can flake off if your lips aren't in perfect condition.

  27. Do you use a lipliner under muse? I felt like the color was uneven just using the stain alone, but when I used Icon with a red lip pencil underneath it, it was AMAZING! I just didn't have a lipliner that matched muse! Any suggestions?

    1. I didn't use a lip liner. I just kept building up the color! MAC made one that would work, I think it was called Embrace Me. but it was limited edition (of course). :(

  28. What high end foundation would you recommend for someone with young, oily skin to try out? I feel in need of a splurge but I'm a bit unsure where to invest. Is the Armani Maestro or Guerlain Lingerie De Peau better for the 'perfect' skin look for someone who's skin isn't that problematic?
