Skincare Sunday IX: Pai Geranium & Thistle Combination Skin Cream

My love affair for Pai Skincare products started almost two years ago when I ordered the Camellia & Rose cleanser (planning on repurchasing that baby for winter) and I have enjoyed various offerings from the brand since. I like the packaging, the brand concept (organic skincare for sensitive skin) and the clear and simple way they showcase their ingredients.
I've been giving their Geranium & Thistle moisturizer a whirl over the past couple of months and I love it!

Combination/oily skin can girls rejoice - this is a moisturizer that effectively hydrates the skin and helps balance it out while at the same time leaving a matte canvas behind, making it work well as a primer under makeup as well. It has a slightly sweet yet clean herbal scent and it blends into the skin with ease. It has a slightly thicker consistency than your average lotion and I love the sturdy 1 oz glass bottle with pump that it comes in. It doesn't have a lid but the pump has a twist/lock mechanism that hasn't made a mess in my makeup bag during travel.

You can purchase Pai Skincare products at paiskincare.com or at Beauty Bay (free worldwide shipping!)
I have used both and while the Pai website has faster shipping, Beauty Bay has sales :)

What's your go-to daytime moisturizer?

  2. I've always wanted to try out Pai. I also like the concept behind their company and like the fact that they use very "clean" ingredients. Thanks for the review! x

  3. This sounds great, I'm always looking for a new mattifying moisturiser to try out :) My favourite at the moment is the Estee Lauder Daywear antioxidant moisturiser, it smells like cucumbers. It's really light and I don't feel it to be oily at all :) x

  5. Ah, this sounds perfect for my combination/oily, sensitive skin! I love natural-based products, but it can be difficult to find appropriate ones with my skin type. This would be a great option! Thanks for the review :)

  7. You're the second person to mention this product. I feel like I have to try it now! I picked up the Pai Comfrey & Calendula Calming Body Cream that I am loving at the moment. Even though it's a body cream, I like using it on my face. Super hydrating and sinks in super fast! Even though I have combo/oily skin, I always feel like my face is stripped after using a cleanser so I like to use a hydrating moisturizer.

  12. I just did a review on my blog about all of the Pai products I tried, I actually heard about them because of your cleanser review :) I love avocado and jojoba one for day and the rosehip sensitive skin one for night. I love them so much my skin has been so happy and perfect since I started using Pai. I want to get their eye cream next, it is always sold out though.
